Can I set up my AuthVR5 profile on multiple devices?
The AuthVR5 profile can be set-up on one mobile and multiple desktops (Configurable by the admin). Default is 1 desktop profile and 1 mobile profile.
What happens if I try to set up my AuthVR5 profile on a third device?
If you already have a profile set up on a desktop or mobile device and then set it up again on another desktop or mobile, the previous profile will be automatically invalidated.
This means the profile on your old device will no longer work for authentication. Only the most recently set up desktop and mobile pair will remain active.
Does PureAUTH login work offline?
PureAUTH authentication to servers and devices like Windows, MacOS will work even if you are offline. Authentication to SAAS/SAML based apps requires internet as the apps are online.
I am unable to log in because I have reached the maximum number of login attempts.
To reset your login attempts, ask other administrators in your organization to navigate to Dashboard > Administrators > Reset Limit.

What if a user loses their device?
PureID uses policy-based fallback with hardware identity and secure admin workflows. No password resets are involved.
I forgot my AuthVR5 profile pin
If you forgot AuthVR5 Profile PIN then you will need to recreate your profile on that device.
- Recreate your profile using Welcome Email or Manual method.
- Click on Profile
- Click on Remove Profile button
I want to change my AuthVR5 Profile PIN
Once you create an AuthVR5 Profile, you can’t change the AuthVR5 PIN as your profile details are encrypted using that PIN. However, you can recreate your Profile again to set a new PIN.
The roles assigned to my profile by the PureAUTH Admin are not appearing during authentication via the AuthVR5 profile.
You will need to fetch the updated roles for the AuthVR5 profile.
To do so, please follow the steps below:
- Enter your Profile PIN and click Submit.
- Click on the AuthVR5 profile.
- Click the Refresh Roles button.
